It is taking me a while to get through all my photos from my trip. I feel like I did and saw so much! I'm getting a back log of photos, now. I already have photos from events since I have been home I need to upload, and write about. I'll get around to it, so now here are more photos and chit chat about the Rockabilly Rave.
After waking up about noon on Saturday, I got dressed and headed down to the vending area to see Fiona, "Straight Talking Mama" and bought a really cute pair of Pedal Pushers from her. I put them on with the shirt I bought from Rocket Originals.
I ran into Tommy and Clare, and also some friends from the Bay Area, Texas Steve and Jennifer Chance (wife of Dusty Chance). Jennifer was on a trip like mine, seeing sights around the UK with her girlfriend. We had a great chat about the things we were seeing.
Me with Tommy and Clare
Visited the pub where the Vinyl Junkies were going on. Great records being played. You can hear the pod cast at Bill Smoker's website.

I checked out a band I can't remember the name of. If anyone knows, please let me know! They were very good.
I next walked back to our Chalet area and explored the Chalet parties and Jams that were going on. First Chalet Jam I came across had Pat Capocci Jamming with Roy Kay and Lynette Morgan sang a few songs. This was an aspect to the Rave I found remarkable. You had the opportunity to see people jam together that you would never see on the same stage. Amazing site for the music dork in me!
Across the way, some friends I'd met, Clare, Martin, Janine and Johnny were having a "Wheelie Bag" party. Wheelie Bags are portable DJ stations that have been constructed out of wheeled shopping carts that little old ladies use in town. They are customized to the DJ's persona and personal taste. There is someone in London who makes these, but I did not get his name. Johnny "HooDoo" had brought his. His was customized with a VooDoo alter and Cadillac fins.
The Records started spinning and people started to show up. One of my favorite people I met while in the UK, Neil's friend Brillo gave us a demonstration on "how to bop." Brillo has a humorous series of "How to Bop" videos on Rollin Records Youtube. You can see them HERE.

OK...that's enough about Saturday Day. I will write about Saturday night a little later. Hopefully tonight.
