Casualties of Buddy

As I announced a few blogs ago, I was blessed with an adorable deer headed Chihuahua I named "Buddy" after Buddy Holly. Buddy has spots over his eyes like glasses, so I thought the name was appropriate. He's also my little buddy, and it suits him.

Buddy is still a puppy. I think he's about 7 months old now, so I should have expected this could happen. Here are my shoes *sniff* that have sacrificed themselves to Buddy:

My cowboy boots, that are still wearable
My first pair of straw shoes he got a hold of:
My second pair of straw shoes:

My new bordello Polly's that I wore ONCE...I blacked the chewed place with black Sharpie

The biggest tragedy...My Betsey Johnson Polly's!

How can I stay mad at this face?

I can't stay mad at him...he just gets in my lap and gives me kissed until I stop being mad. I'm such a sucker! It works with my son, too...

aww that sucks!
my lil furbaby Oscar hasn't gone for any of my shoes.. yet.. he's more of a slipper kinda guy.. which I guess is a good thing. He does happen to like my & my husbands underwear though =/ He'll snatch those up right away if he can. Oh and you can forget about leaving anything paper around.. he would have a field day with books & magazines...

Don't you hate it when they are too cute to stay mad at? My dog Czara chewed up many pairs of shoes in her puppy days. The sad thing is, the first time I could her, I actualy took a picture. I thought she looked so cute, and surely I would prevent her from chewing any in the future... yeah, two years later (and three pairs of heels, a pair of sandals, my husband's slippers and athletic shoes, countless flip-flopes, the futon legs, and even a little drywall) we finally have the chewing beat. Unless there is anything even slightly resembling a stuffed animal near her (you know, like dog beds or pillows). But she is too cute to hate!

You should get one of those hanging shoe racks so he can't get to them. They have some that you can hang over the back of your bedroom or bathroom door and they are cheap (under $20).

Oh noooooo! You need to store your shoes in a metal box under lock and key!!!!!!

Oh the Pollys too?! I have a pair of silver ones that I adore! What a shame that your dog has an appetite for shoes! I have three cats. My 14 year old persian just gets her hair on my cushions but the two younger ones love to claw the carpets! I can handle the housewares but if they ever got in my shoes, I would be mad! They are cute though so I am all talk! lol!

I'm so lucky my little Pachuca doesnt chew things. Her bad habits include peeing and eating the cat food, which are really annoying. My cat did try and pee on my Lola's though. He got swatted for that one!
